We have diamonds in every size, shape and quality for our customers, based on their wants, needs and budget. All of our diamonds are certified by GIA (Gemological Institute of America), EGL (European Gemological Laboratory), or AGS (American Gem Society). These are the leading independent gem labs of the world, dedicated to grading each diamond with accuracy and unbiased opinion.
We are also a trusted diamond retailer for Hearts and Arrows Diamonds, which are often considered to be the most perfectly fashioned diamonds in the world. Ask us about Ideal Cut diamonds!
For many, the less color in a diamond, the more valuable it is. The GIA grades diamond color on an alphabetical scale of D to Z, starting at colorless and moving toward colors including light brown or yellow. Looking for a yellow, canary or brown diamond? “Fancy” colors have their own separate color scale.
Diamonds may be cut in many different ways to create an overall shape and brilliance. The cut also creates faceting—the angular patterns present in diamonds—that allow light to pass through. Cuts are graded from Excellent to Poor.
We often think of diamonds as being perfectly clear. However, they often contain markings inside them called inclusions, created by heat and pressure. The scale for clarity has 11 grades, moving from “Flawless” to “Included.” Anything closer to Flawless is considered more valuable, certainly more rare.
This is the measurement for a diamond’s weight. Size and weight are often the first to impress a potential diamond buyer. But size and weight do not always coincide with one another. It’s important to consider carats with the other C’s.
