Custom designing gives you everything you want and leaves out what you don’t, and gives you a unique ring to match the two of you. Contrary to what most people think, custom designs are not much if any more costly than any other ring in stock.

When meeting for the first time to create your design, a great place to start is with an idea in mind. Pictures from Instagram, Pinterest or from a website you prefer are helpful for the designer to know what your tastes are. The center stone, if you want one, is a great place to begin the process. Not only is the center stone shape and size are important, but you may choose to have something other than a diamond. Diamonds are generally the choice because they are the hardest stones on the market and traditional, but there are so many options now. Many gemstones may work well in your ring, and there are many that are not such a good idea. Some are just not suitable for engagement rings because they’re not strong enough to be worn every day. This is a good discussion to have when designing the ring. Whether you choose diamonds or an alternative, we will have options to show you in the shop, for you to see up close and personal.

​At the first meeting, we can sit down and begin the designing process by getting to know your personalities, tastes, dislikes, and likes. Each ring we design is engineered with integrity and the elements you are attracted to. An engagement ring can look like whatever you want it to. You can choose almost any stone, cut it into any shape, put in any setting, and combine as many metals as you want; the possibilities are literally endless. Taking your ideas and creating your design is what we do, do not feel as if you need to be the expert! If you have just a couple of elements to use, not really feeling as if you have the complete design idea, we are here to guide you. Also, we can use gold and stones you may already have or have been given, or repurpose an older ring that needs attention. This can not only cut costs, it adds a unique and personal element. ​When you have decided on the design, center stone and metal type desired, we will create the ring in a wax form. In this form, the ring can be tried on to see if the size, shape, and elements are perfect.  We can also set the stones into the wax for a great visual. Love it? Then it goes to be cast, stones set, and polished—and you go home with your perfect ring!
